X (Twitter) Video Downloader
Request a video from a public X post link. Learn about provider limits, temporary downloads, creator controls and reuse permission.
The link is resolved on our server and the file is streamed back to you. Only public posts work: nothing is signed into, no privacy setting is bypassed, and no password is ever requested.
Paste a link to a public X post to request any video file the connected media provider can return. This page does not sign in to X, access private posts or guarantee that every public video can be extracted. If the provider cannot return media, the result offers the source post so you can view it on X.

How to use the downloader
- On X, open the post containing the video and copy its link.
- Paste the post link into the field on this page and choose Download video.
- If a file is returned, review its label and select Save. The file link is temporary, so request the post again if it expires.
The tool accepts a post URL, not a profile name or a search phrase. It can return an error when the link is invalid, media is unavailable, the provider is disconnected or a request limit is reached. Returned file format and resolution depend on what the provider supplies; this site cannot promise the original upload or a watermark-free version.

Check the creator's download choice and your rights
X's video help page explains that creators can control whether certain uploaded videos are downloadable through X's own controls. It also describes X's in-app download option for eligible Premium users and posts. The availability of a file through a separate tool does not override the creator's choice or grant permission to repost it.
Save your own video or obtain permission from the rights holder before reusing another person's work. X's copyright policy describes how it handles complaints about unauthorized videos and images. If you only want someone else to see a post, sharing its original link may be more appropriate than copying the file.

Why a link may fail
A private, deleted, restricted or unsupported post may not yield a file. The connected provider can also fail or return no media even when the post is visible in your browser. Check that the copied link points to one public post, then try again later if the provider is temporarily unavailable. Repeated requests are limited; this page does not offer unlimited extraction.
This is a convenience for eligible media you are allowed to save. It is not an archive service, and the temporary file link should not be treated as permanent storage.

Use a direct public post link
Open the X post containing the video and copy its link from the share control. A direct post URL gives the server a specific item to check. A profile link or search-results page may show the video to you but does not identify a single post to the downloader. Paste the post URL, submit it once, and read the result. The site validates supported X and Twitter link shapes before asking its provider for media. It does not take a password or access your signed-in X session.
When a video appears in a thread, choose the address for the post that actually contains the attachment. If someone has quoted another post, decide which post contains the video you want. Opening the URL in a separate browser tab can help you confirm you copied the correct one. If the post is private, restricted, removed, or unavailable without an account, this public-link tool may return no file. Seeing the video inside your own signed-in X feed does not establish public access from this server.

Check X's own download option
X's video help describes its native video download feature for certain posts and Premium users, and says uploaders have a control over whether eligible videos are downloadable. Check those controls before seeking a file through another service. If you own the video, your original source file is a better editing master than a copy recovered from a post. This page cannot check an uploader's setting or turn a third-party provider response into permission to save or republish the file.
A video posted before or after a change in X's download rules can behave differently in the app. Avoid assuming that every visible post offers the same native action. The separate lookup here asks for media available to a connected provider and has its own limitations. If the native option is absent, use the original X post link to share the video when that meets your need. The X GIF downloader explains short looping post media that the provider may return in a video format.

Examine file details and keep the source
If the provider supplies several variants, compare their displayed format and dimensions before saving. The largest dimensions listed are not a promise of original upload quality. A provider may return a compressed stream, a file without expected audio, or no asset at all. Download one permitted option, open it on your device, and check the picture, audio, and playback before incorporating it into another file. The site does not convert the video into a guaranteed MP4 or make a higher-resolution version.
The server issues a temporary file link. If it expires, request the public post again rather than treating the result URL as an archive. Keep a note of the post URL and author with a file you are allowed to retain. That reference helps distinguish your own original recording, a downloaded copy, and a link to the public post. It also makes it easier to revisit any accompanying caption, context, or later changes to the post.

Share without taking an unnecessary copy
If your goal is to show a post to another person, a link or X's own Repost function may be sufficient. A downloaded copy loses surrounding text and can circulate without the creator's context. For a presentation, edit, website, or advert, get permission that covers the planned use of someone else's video. A public post or available download option does not settle all rights in footage, music, or people shown. X's copyright policy explains its complaint process; this site cannot decide who owns a video or grant a licence.
For work you created, retain the project files and original export separately from any platform copy. If the only copy you still have is an X post, a successful lookup may help you obtain a usable file, but the returned format and quality are provider-dependent. Do not delete other backups until you have opened and checked the saved result.
The help page explains where to take website questions. You can also contact the team with a public post URL and the exact error shown if a valid link repeatedly fails; never include an X password or private message.

Work through errors in order
An invalid-link message usually calls for a new direct post URL. A no-media result means the provider did not return a supported file; it does not prove the post never had video. A provider-unavailable message describes the connected service at that time. A rate limit asks you to wait, not to keep resubmitting the same URL. Confirm that the post remains public and viewable, then try later if a temporary provider issue is indicated. The tool cannot fetch private messages or deleted posts.

Frequently asked questions
What input does the tool accept?
Paste a link to one public X post with video. It does not accept a private message, profile name or search term.
Will every public video download?
No. The provider can return no media for a public post, and deleted or restricted posts are unavailable.
Is the file always MP4 or original quality?
No. Format and resolution depend on the returned file. The tool does not promise the original upload or a particular version.
Does the tool bypass a creator’s download choice?
The tool cannot change X settings or your rights. Check the creator’s choice and obtain permission before saving or reusing media when needed.
How long does the file link last?
The server returns a temporary signed link. Request the post again if the link expires.
May I share the downloaded video elsewhere?
A downloaded copy does not automatically carry reposting rights. Sharing the source X post link can preserve the creator and context.
